My weekend trips while studying abroad allowed me to become a master at sight-seeing and experiencing local culture in a time-constrained period. For these reasons, I have curated a list of activities and sights to see with your limited time in Dublin, Ireland. If you have the opportunity to explore more of Ireland, schedule a free consultation to learn how I can help you book your trip!
For starters, Dublin is incredibly walkable and most tourist attractions are within a few miles of each other. I used the Luas (pronounced Loo-AhS) to travel distances farther than walking.
- Guinness Storehouse — I would be remiss Guinness was farther than #1 on the list (even though this isn’t ranked). Guinness offers a thorough museum about crafting the perfect Guinness, the history behind the legacy, and even the success of Guinness advertising over the years. At the top of the Guinness Storehouse is a few dining options and a wrap-around sky deck where you can cash in a free Hops beer after your Guinness tasting. The 1837 Bar and Brasserie inside the Storehouse offers a variety of foods that feel like a warm blanket (including the best Irish soda bread EVER made with Guinness itself!) Even if you don’t enjoy the taste of Guinness, the factory and museum allow you to learn more about its effect on the culture of Ireland. And why you should never drink it immediately after pouring.
